We just completed this custom wedding ring for a customer, and I am really excited about this design!
Our customer was married this summer and we’ve been working together to create this wedding band design. As an interior designer, she has terrific design ideas and expectations. Her jewelry box was already full of wonderful pieces, so our challenge was to create an important, unique design that would be comfortable to wear.
As is often the case, it takes more than one meeting to design a custom piece. Our CAD designs help the customer see what the final piece will look like, and it allows both parties to make changes before any work is done.
We completed three CAD designs and reviews before making a couple of final changes - including the addition of the inside outline of diamonds on both sides and a tapered shank for comfort. Inside the ring is a beautiful carved gallery that allows the ring to fit snugly without being too heavy.
Our jeweler did an amazing job of making this design come true! It is 18K gold; yellow for the diamond sections and white for the blue sapphires. We oxidized the gold around the sapphire settings to create more drama. The shape of the ring makes a statement with the architectural lines and precise use of diamonds and sapphires.
We are thrilled with the outcome, and more importantly, our customer loves it!
