Meet Our Haltom's Family
From time to time, we like to highlight our amazing employees. Our Downtown Team is a wonderful group of men and women who have a combined total of more than 90 years work experience!
One of their strengths – among many – is their ability to relate to and connect with our wide array of customers, from millenials to seniors. In addition, the team can handle every situation that arises; from the most complicated repairs and restoration, to advice on watches and diamonds, to forging friendships with so many customers. We know almost everyone that comes in our doors, and if we don’t, we work hard to make new friends.

For Part One, we included, from left to right: Nichole, Janece, Elizabeth, Holly, and Boomer. Part Two will feature Melissa and John, and we’ll turn the spotlight on them shortly.
Nichole Freeman is a Baylor graduate and a newlywed. She is sweet, smart, charming and oozes integrity.
“It is wonderful to be in an atmosphere where every person is challenged to be an expert on all we offer from diamonds, timepieces, and giftware, to the restoration and care of pieces that are entrusted to us. I also enjoy the teamwork that I share with my co-workers. We help each other so the customer experiences the family feeling of old-fashioned shopping! My favorite thing about working for Haltom's is the relationships that I have been able to form with customers. I love helping people find that special gift to surprise a loved one. I love having new fiancées come in thrilled with their recent proposal. I love delivering a piece that has been restored and seeing the customer pleased with the work. And I love the customers who walk in just to say hi.”
Janece Hill has been with us for 13 years and she is the best receptionist ever! Her voice always sounds kind and happy, and we get compliments on her phone manners from callers all over the country.
“I love working with all of my wonderful coworkers. I also enjoy working for Jack and Ladye Ann, and truly appreciate the family atmosphere they have created here. I’m no different than most women … I love being surrounded by all the beautiful diamonds and timepieces we carry!”
Elizabeth Flores has only been here for a year, but she has five years of jewelry retail experience in Chicago. She is her father’s daughter (Jack Miller) in many ways – especially when it comes to customer service and the love of watchmaking and diamonds.
“I have been around jewelry my whole life, but working here has allowed me to appreciate the time and effort that goes into such amazing designs. Looking through a loupe, you can see the art and craftsmanship – and in such a tiny setting! In addition, I have learned so much about how a watch works; the way the movement of some 300-500 pieces comes together and works so beautifully. It all amazes and excites me every day.”
Holly Whisenhunt started working for us when she was just 17. She is a graduate of UNT and has been our Executive Assistant for 18 years. She is also a terrific road warrior, picking up and delivering to our customers. In general, Holly keeps us all happy.
“I love everything about working for Haltom’s! If I had to pick my favorite thing, it’s being around and working with my Haltom’s family. My job definitely keeps me on my toes as no two days are ever the same. I am not in sales, but I enjoy working in a place filled with such beautiful pieces. And yes, from time to time, I will try some of them on!”
Boomer is the best work dog ever! While he does not like to have his picture taken, he keeps nervous bachelors calm while they look through the engagement rings. His favorite customers are the ones who stop by for a visit and a scratch.
Everyone brings a unique personality along with a sincere commitment to helping each other as well as our customers. I am truly grateful for our amazing Haltom’s family.
