We also match for color and clarity, but our choices for diamond earstuds are not the same as for diamond engagement rings. Higher color and clarity grade are easily seen on your hand, but your ears remain further away and size, sparkle, and brightness become more important for earrings.
Our favorite choices for earstud settings are white gold in either four prong basket mountings or three prong martini mountings. White gold makes the diamonds pop on the ear, and our customer can choose between the two setting styles.
The easiest way to determine the one you like is to try them on. Everyone’s ears are a little different and one style always sits better on the ear. Jumbo size earring backs can help some of us with small lobes, or a stretched piercing keep the diamonds facing forward. Most of us choose a friction back, but we do have customers that like a threaded post and back for security and we’re glad to accommodate.
