Alfonso Cevola stopped by our downtown store to show us his grandfather’s pocket watch. It was purchased from Haltom’s in 1912 for $50. In today’s money that’s about $1,500 which was an enormous purchase for a 17-year-old.
It is in fantastic condition, and he still has the box and paperwork. The monogram on the back is an example of the best in hand engraving. You can read about this beautiful heirloom and his family history on his blog by clicking this link. Our sincere thanks to Alfonso for stopping by and sharing this with us. We are so proud of our history in Fort Worth!
