Francine would have celebrated her 79th wedding anniversary this past week. She was a wonderful and loving mother who passed away in January, leaving a lifetime of memories and a beautiful jewelry collection to her daughter, Donna. We’ve worked with the family all year to size, reset and restore many pieces so that Donna and other family members can wear and enjoy these treasures.
One of the last projects was definitely the best. We matched the pearls of Francine’s double-strand choker to become a triple-strand matinee length necklace. Then, we used some larger diamonds from a wedding ring and earstuds to create a stunning custom clasp. The diamonds can be worn in the center, side or back of the neck for different looks.
This clasp took all summer to design and fabricate and we were thrilled to deliver the finished necklace to Donna and her Dad on the day before the anniversary. Donna wore the necklace out of the store and we are all inspired by this loving family.
